  6. I’m happy to announce that I am on the slate of candidates to remain as the District IV Director for the 2020-2022 term. Take a look at the draft of my statement for my candidacy that I shared with our fellow Councilors in May of this year. Please let me know how I can continue to serve your interests and the ACS!

  7. I gave keynote lectures in the Schaap Symposium at Hope College on our Sustainable Nanotechnology research and our Diversity Equity research on July 11-12.  I enjoyed meeting new present and future ACS members!

  8. See me at CERM between June 5th and 9th, as we will be holding the second of 4 ACS board meetings later that week in Midland, MI.

  9. I’ll be joining fellow RCSA Cottrell Scholars and other colleagues in Götingen from June 2nd to 4th to facilitate the third Fulbright-Cottrell Junior Faculty Professional Development Workshop.

  10. I had the opportunity to introduce the 2019 Remsen Lecturer, Dr. Cathy Murphy, at UMBC on May 30th, as part of MARM. This was the 74th lecture sponsored by the JHU chemistry department and the ACS Maryland Local Section.

My talk on “advancing inclusive excellence in academic chemistry departments from the top down through a discipline-based evidenced-based approach” in the CINF Symposium on “Assessing Chemistry Outreach” — 2:15 PM on Tuesday (April 2) at West Hall B4 - Theater 10 of the Orange County Convention Center

  6. I’ll be joining our fellow volunteers at ACS’s annual Leadership Institute in Atlanta on January 25-27. I’ll serve on a YCC panel on Sunday morning; always a highlight of the meeting!
